Ready for some fun? Flowermart 2009 will continue to put on several fun contests plus a chance to win a lot of money and benefit the Flowermart Endowment Fund to boot! In the mean time here's a rundown of this year's winners.

Flowermart Hat and Cap Contest One of the most popular contests is the Flowermart Hat and Cap Contest with separate categories for youths and adults. It is sponsored by the Tremont Hotel. The 2008 contest winners are... OVERALL WINNER: Nora Worthington INDIVIDUAL CATEGORY WINNERS

Booth Decoration Contest Another exciting contest we hold every year is the Booth Decoration Contest. We have seen some incredible exhibit designs over the years. and this year is no exception. The 2008 grand prize winner was Parks & People Foundation. INDIVIDUAL CATEGORY WINNERS

Pet Parade & Mascot Contest And, yes, there is a new Flowermart Pet Mascot: Dweezil, a 4-year-old Newfoundland, therapy dog, show dog, owned by Linda Harris. This year there was a second place pet: Scout a miniature bunny, owned by Sarah Beth Olson.

Flowermart Superstar Contest The sensation continued in 2008. The Flowermart Superstar contest, sponsored by the Radisson, saw 3 winners this year: FIRST PLACE: Taylor Smith-Clark, singer

Flowermart Red Hat Contest New for 2008 was the Red Hat Contest. It was open to ladies belonging to the many Red Hat Clubs in the area. This contest is sponsoredd by Baltimore Department of Recreation and Parks ad Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

50/50 Raffle Play the 50/50 Raffle and win!!!! Last year’s pot was $800 and was won by Pat Ozborn.
Congratulations! In 2009 we expect even more participation. Tickets will be sold at the Flower Mart Information booth located across from the stage in the West Park. The drawing will take place on Saturday, May 3, at 6 P.M., but you do not need to be present to win. Price: one ticket for $5, three for $10. The profit will go to the Flowermart Endowment Fund, administered by the Baltimore Community Foundation.
